New European and international models, new cloud offerings, administered enterprise platforms and more powerful local systems will keep coming to market. Some companies work with external cloud AI, others with business or EU workspaces, their own server, a local workstation or a hybrid combination. Each of these can make sense – depending on project phase, task, data, responsibility, team and existing IT.

What matters, therefore, is not committing to a provider too early. What matters is an architecture that sits above the respective model: it clarifies use cases, roles, data spaces, source and version states, project knowledge, quality criteria, stops, handovers and approvals. This way the technology can change later without having to rebuild project logic and accountability.
